Curriculum Overview

The curriculum offered from Years 7 to 10 is designed to provide all students with a wide variety of educational experiences that will adequately prepare them for further study in the VCE and employment, and enable them to take their place in society as well educated, responsible adults.

Our curriculum offers subjects from each of the Key Learning Areas (KLA), in addition to Religious Education. Students in Years 7 to 10 are required to study in each of these areas. At the VCE level, students are required to study subjects in compliance with the rules and regulations set down by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

All subjects in Years 7 & 8 are compulsory. Students in Years 9 and 10 have the opportunity to select from a range of semester length units across the KLA. Students have to meet certain minimum requirements in each KLA. In Years 11 & 12, an English and one of either Religion and Society or Texts and Tradition are compulsory, all other subjects are by election.
The subjects offered at the College are grouped into six faculty categories: Arts, Technology, Human Development, Language, Religious Education, Studies of Society and Environment, Maths and Science.

Special Education offers support through literacy, and numeracy programs at all year levels.
