Camps and Retreats
School camps provide the perfect opportunity for students to experience positive interactions with each other outside of the classroom. Fun activities, team sports and teamwork challenges help to develop new relationships and deepen existing bonds of friendship.
Retreats help students to improve their spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. Students are provided a space for reflection, relaxation, connection and rejuvenation. Social justice recognises that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities. Our social justice activities and programs help students gain the skills and knowledge to prepare them to be positive contributors to society.
The Year 7 Launch Camp is a great way for the students to get to know one another and develop new friendships as they come together from various primary schools from across the Wimmera.
The Year 8 Fears and Friendships Camp gives students the opportunity to further build on their friendships and get to know one another on a deeper level through fear-facing challenges and group building activities.
The Year 9 Eco Camp focuses on students and their understanding of stewardship and their involvement in not only understanding the fragility of the environment but also how to protect and preserve it for future generations.
The Year 10 Pathways Immersion Camp provides students with the opportunity to explore various careers, industries, and further education options. Students attend an industry tour, and visit a university and TAFE facility.
The Year 11 Street Retreat takes the students from their familiar surroundings where they participate in various activities concerning homelessness, poverty, community service and various societal problems. The students also work closely with those seeking asylum in Australia.
The Year 12 Leadership Retreat highlights the needs of the student in Year 12. The retreat focuses the students on the busy year ahead. They spend quality time with one another and share strategies to better manage the demands of their final year.
All year level camps are included in the annual global school fee, ensuring every student can participate.
