This week celebrated Shrove Tuesday, an important date in the Catholic calendar, signifying the eve of Lent.
Year 11 Accounting students took on the project of bringing 'Pancake Day' to life this year. The students each took on a role including creating and distributing marketing materials, estimating material costs and developing a comprehensive sales spreadsheet. Last week, students and staff eagerly placed their pre-orders, facilitated by the Accounting students who managed cash transactions and operated the EFTPOS machine. On the day, the students were in The Well preparing, serving, and even cleaning up after selling hundreds of pancakes! The proceeds from the project will be donated to Cartias.
