Today our students had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Science and Engineering Challenge, a nationwide STEM outreach program presented by the University of Newcastle and supported by our local Rotary clubs.
The Challenge is designed to give students hands‑on experiences in science and engineering, and it was fantastic to see their creativity, collaboration, and perseverance as they worked through the tasks.
We competed against four other Wimmera schools, and achieved a massive score of 1467 out of a possible 1600 points, making us the overall winners for the day! Students were thrilled to share news of the win when they returned to school.
Opportunities like this are a wonderful way for our students to showcase their strengths in practical, hands‑on activities, and to build confidence, and explore future possibilities in STEM pathways. Well done everyone!
